Vera Wang Perfume Princess

Vera Wang Perfume Princess, sweet Rock ‘n Roll

Vera Wang wedding dresses were the daydream of many women long before being featured in the Sex and the City movie. As happens to many in the field, the expansion to the world of perfumes and fragrances was simply natural, with the creation of Vera Wang perfumes brand.

The Princess in this Vera Wang fragrance is actually a crowned queen of hearts. A very happy perfume indeed, Vera Wang Princess is girly and young, a perfume for teenagers, suitable. For a 16 year old girl, this feminine fragrance would be too mature, and Angel perfume by Thierry Mugler would be a perfect evolution. Anyways, if you’re over 20 and you find out you love this young fragrance, don’t feel weird, you’re in good company, there are loads of women between 25 and 35 that wear it all the time.

The notes

Vera Wang Princess opening notes are incredibly sweet: imagine a vanilla milkshake with fruit, dark chocolate on top of that, and an extra tablespoon of sugar just in case. But that lasts just a couple of minutes, then the perfume ingredients get softer: flowers enter (my nose picked rose, lily and red berries above all) and do a proper smoothing job, you just have to give them some time. After a while more musky notes will start to come out.

Don’t be fooled though, the perfume bouquet will hold on to your skin all day long, so be careful in the morning, when other people’s nose is more sensitive. If you’re planning to sit close to the boy you like in the school bus, and you just have the last minute to wear Vera Wang Princess before running to the bus stop, be moderate, or he might run for the door, even if you smell heavenly.

To sum up

According to the Vera Wang princess perfume website, the princess is actually a Rock Princess (with a touch of Gothic),  that swaps her crown for an electric guitar. A few examples come to my mind, Barbie Rockstar first of all, but speaking of real people I would say Avril Lavigne: “Rock” aside though, Britney Spears also fits in the picture, and, well, “princess” aside, Paris Hilton too.
